he ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM   with advanced features is used in cars such BENZ, SWIFT, etc. In   this type of braking   system, the brake is applied for 16 (n) times in one second. The value of ‘n’ is varied for our application. This type braking is used to avoid the “SKIDDING” in higher speed.
The above system can be implemented in motorcycle with the help of Micro Controller. Sensors are placed in the rear end   of motor cycle to   sense the speed of the wheel. The sensor is sensed and the signal output is given   to the Micro controller, the Micro controller receives the signal as speed in put to perform the operation and gives the output signal when the brake as applied. This in turn gives signal as brake input to Micro Controller is given to Anti – lock braking System and the brake is applied. Hence SKIDDING is avoided event at higher speed. In this system there is no human’s interrupt, all the operations are performed by only the Micro controller.

INTRODUCTION

A recent typical ABS is composed of a central electronic unit, speed sensor and hydraulic valve is used in the brake circuit. The electronic unit constantly monitors the rotation speed of the wheel. It is very useful in modern days. While brake is applied suddenly, the wheel gets locked and there might be an accident. To avoid this only the ABS is implemented in two-wheeler. This is used applied the brake softly and smoothly without any jerky motion.
Oh high-traction surfaces such as bitumen, whether wet or dry, most ABS-equipped bike are able to attain braking distances better (i.e., shorter) than those that would be possible without the benefit of ABS. A moderately skilled driver without ABS might be able, through the use of cadence braking, to match the performance of a novice driver with an ABS-equipped vehicle. However, for a significant number of drivers, ABS will improve their braking distances in a wide variety of conditions.
When drivers to encounter an emergency that causes them to... [continues]
