In every community, children find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. Such as joining gangs or being homeless. That’s why we as Americans need to step in and help those children have a better sense of stability and care in their lives. By donating your time and money we can make that happen. For every person who donates their service and money, just imagine how many lives we could change and think about the crime rate going down amongst youths.

There are many children out there who do not either have a father or a mother and they come from a low income family so they start going out and getting into trouble and feel like no one cares about them enough to make sure they become productive adults; that’s why I feel more people should volunteer with The Boys and Girls Club of America in order to help the youth be productive citizens.

The Boys and Girls Club of America is an organization who’s on a mission to stimulate young minds and help them become more productive citizens. According to the official website of The Boys and Girls Club of America organization, is not only tax-exempt, but is also partially funded by the federal government so they can use all the help they can get

Increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Children need to know that someone cares about them. When I was a child I used to go to Sarah Heinz which is a boys and girls club for children like the ones im talking about. They showed me that even though I have a working mother and no father that there are other people out there who cared about me being a productive citizen. We would have sit downs in a group and all talk about what we were all going through we had dances, did different activities and even would go on trips to the Science Center, Children’s Museum and places that would let our young minds grow. These are places I would have never experienced if it wasn’t for Sarah Heinz and the Volunteers.
