Book Review

1.0   Introduction
Below is a review of a book that was published in 2008 called Trends in Business and Economic Ethics. After looking at the book’s title and table of contents and then read the book, it becomes clear to me that the theme of this book is:
  * The scope of ethical and moral action within the economy and theories about it.
  * Approaches to teaching ethics within the business and management. And
  * The dialogue between (management) scholars and practitioners.
The book is: Christopher. J. Cowton, Michaela Haase, Trends in Business and Econimic Ethics, Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg, 2008.
In the authors own words, “low intelligence, and independent of social, economic, or ethnic background lies at the root of many social problems.”  From my view this book was so interesting to read, because this would allow student like myself understand more the way of running business that not just making money but also how to run business instead making profit in the ethical way or shall we say paying more attention about environment ethical issues in doing business.
Growing bodies of academic and business specialists are paying attention to ethical issues in business and economics, drawing on a wide range of different disciplinary and theoretical perspectives. This volume presents important new insights from scholars in economics, philosophy, business ethics and management studies. And also in addition the Authors providing specific perspectives on particular topics, it presents strategic perspectives on the development of the field, and it help me as a reader to understand more. And I also can inform my selves on developments in particular areas, such as social accountability or stakeholder governance. I also can find substantial contributions related to the interfaces of ethics and economics, economics and philosophy, business ethics and political science, and business ethics and management.
