SUMMARY In this story it takes place mostly on the ice of the hockey team named the Badgers who aren’t the best team in the league. This takes place in hockey season when some new people join the team and some problems start. The main character is a twelve-year-old boy named Brent Mullen who isn’t sure he’s seeing what he thinks he’s seeing. The main problem is the new assistant coach who is teaching the Badgers dirty tricks like body checks, elbowing pushing and stuff like that. Some main events are when the assistant coach and his son join the team. The most intense part was when they started fighting. The resolution was they took a long break so everyone could cool down.
Brent Mellen is a twelve-year-old boy who plays hockey for the Badgers. The Badgers are not the greatest team in the league. Brent and the rest of his team were going onto the ice when coach Maxwell blew his whistle and called everybody into a circle and then the introduced the new assistant coach his name was coach Seabrook and his sons name was Vic who would be playing defense for the Badgers. Brent had changed how he thought of Vic and his dad coach Seabrook.
Body Check is not the best book I have ever read. It was not that good because it was supposed to have a lot more action in it than it did. It was more about people's personal lives. It did not really talk about hockey either; it just talked about what was going on. Body Check is about a hockey team that gets a new coach who is a big jerk. The new coach tries to get the old coach fired but nobody wants that. I think it would have been way better if there was more action. What if there was more action I think it would make it a better book....
