My future profession will be in the field of Health Insurance. The company that I am currently working for, Blue Cross and Blue Shield has a history that can be compared to the evolution of Christianity. Similar to Christianity, Health Insurance started with one concept, and was the idea of one person that many people adapted to. Comparable to Christianity, my profession has a foundational writing, a founder, theorist, reformers, divisions, and moral requirements. All of these subjects formed together to make a successful company. Similarly, Christianity has become the most widely spread religion in the world. It has become a way of life for me and many people I know. The traditions, writings, and moral requirements are important to the meaning and the growth of Christianity.
The Christian Religion has it strengths and weaknesses. Over the years Christianity has began to slowly evolve to become more appealing to society. From the beginning Christianity started with one individual, “Jesus Christ” the savior. I believe that Jesus Christ was here to address the issue of sin and what God expected from us. Christians rely on the word of Jesus that was passed down from generations and written in Scriptures collectively named “The Bible”. My research found that “the Bible is a collection of sacred scripture of both Judaism and Christianity” (Wikipedia, Internet site). Christology which is the academic study of Jesus Christ, attempts to identify who Jesus was and the meaning of his existence. Christology allows theologians to question the concepts of Christianity and Jesus Christ, “The area of Christian theology traditionally known as “Christology” deals with the person of Jesus Christ”(Christian theology, McGrath, 273). There are many theologians that contribute their research to the concepts of Christology.
