SPECIFICATION OF THE ROBOT
Perspective – This assignment will be viewed from certain perspectives namely, a product research and development undertaken by I121D SDN BHD an assignment for the subject FKB30703 Robotics proposed by Prof. Engr. Dr. Ishkandar Baharin on 29th February 2013
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to present the methodology and the results on the design and development of an autonomous, Wifi Robot, the investigation on a long range.
Methodology – The strategy followed to develop a commercial product is presented, based on prior identification requirements, which consist of crime investigation on a long range in efficient way with the cheapest price than others.
Conception – A remote control car that can be driven over the internet or with a laptop wirelessly from up to 500m away. It has a live-feed network camera so that it can be driven without line of sight and a horn so that you can honk at people. In this Robot, we use the Linksys WRT54GL router. It's very friendly in that it runs Linux and some of the hardware has been reverse engineered. A bunch of alternative firmware versions have been written for this router. The version that this project uses is the customizable Linux firmware Open-WRT. Along with great software for this router, a bunch of hardware are possible. With a cheap, embedded Linux system at our disposal, we knew we had to do something cool with it. So the Wifi Robot idea was born.
PRODUCT MARKET STUDY.
Market Size
The crime rate in Malaysia growing concern. Almost 209,817 crimes reported on 2012 and estimated 20 percent of that is a serious crimes.
Moreover, there are about 15 investigation department in Malaysia. Firstly, we begin the first step to marketing this robot in the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur area.
This translates to a decent market size with no local companies developing such product yet.
Problem Statement
The safety of officer that on duty is one of many factors where the robot was created. The

People often suffer from various disorders related to their physical health, which also include disorders of the nervous, vascular and integumentary systems, muscular and neurologic diseases. Consequently, these violations probably affect the musculoskeletal system and complicate the daily lives of these people. However, with the daily development of science and technology, doctors and inventors are trying to create some kind of device that can make life easier for people with such disabilities. To date, some examples of these developments are already invented. One of these developments is a powered exoskeleton Hybrid Assistive Limb (HAL-5). Hybrid Assistive Limb (HAL) is a full-body suit, which was designed to help people with degenerated muscles or spinal injuries or brain disorders. Now we are going to describe appearance, functions and main characteristics of this robotic device.…

Robotics as a branch of mechanical, electrical and computer engineering deals with the design, construction, operation and application of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback and information processing. The technologies deal with automated machines that can take the place of humans in dangerous environments manufacturing processes, or resemble humans in appearance, behavior and / or cognition. The concept of creating machines that can operate autonomously dates back to classical times, but research into the functionality and potential…

The basic idea behind this paper includes the concept of Wi-Fi and simple microprocessors which can be used for guiding the Final Control Element of typical robots (more often they are stepper motors). Normally the wireless control of Robots are done using higher level microprocessors/controllers, complex coding in the receiving side with single channel transmission of control signals which proves too costly for local use.…

The project aims at designing an intelligent voice operated fire extinguishing robotic vehicle which can be controlled wirelessly through RF communication. The Robotic vehicle has a camera mounted on it whose direction can also be controlled using voice commands. The proposed vehicle has a water jet spray which is capable of sprinkling water. The sprinkler can be moved towards the required direction. The advent of new high-speed technology provided realistic opportunity for new robot controls and realization of new methods of control theory. This technical improvement together with the need for high performance robots created faster, more accurate and more intelligent robots using new robots control devices, new drivers and advanced control algorithms. This project describes a new economical solution of robot control systems. The presented robot control system can be used for different sophisticated robotic applications. Speech is the primary and most convenient means of communication between humans. Whether due to technological curiosity to build machines that mimic human’s or desire to automate work with machine, research in speech recognition as a first step towards human-machine communication. Speech recognition is the process of recognizing the spoken word to take necessary actions accordingly. The controlling devices of the whole system are Microcontrollers. Speech recognition module, wireless transceiver modules, obstacle detector, lamp, water jet spray, DC motors and buzzer are interfaced to Microcontroller. When the user fed the voice commands to the speech recognition module, the microcontroller interfaced to it reads the command and sends relevant data of that command wirelessly using transceiver module. This data is received by the transceiver module on the robotic vehicle and feds it to microcontroller which acts accordingly on motors, pump and lamp. The vehicle is mounted with a camera which helps…
