Causes For the Black Eyed Peas’s Recent Popularity Rise
The Black Eyed Peas (also known as B.E.P.) are a popular international hip-hop band, whose fame has grown immensely in 2009 and 2010. Taboo and, led by,, formed the Black Eyed Peas and had their first publishing in Los Angeles, California in 1995. The group was popular; yet, it was still widely unknown and had little fame. The group truly became world renown in 2003 with the addition of Fergie, a female singer and rapper who was previously a part of the group Wild Orchid. In 2003, the Black Eyed Peas released their first truly popular album: Elephunk. The Black Eyed Peas did not move from an unknown band to one of the most popular groups of the 21st century for no reason. The Black Eyed Peas became so popular because of their ability to reach out to many different people, the positive themes in their songs, the genius behind the work of the members of the group, and their latest album, E.N.D.

The Black Eyed Peas can reach out to every person, language, culture, and country for a number of reasons. To start, their group is very diverse. The leader,, is an African American man who speaks fluent English and Spanish. is a native-born Filipino who moved to the United States and learned English at age fourteen. Taboo is an American born male with Mexican descent. Fergie is a Caucasian female. With this diverse group of people the Black Eyed Peas can access people worldwide before they even begin to sing. Moreover, the Black Eyed Peas reach people through their varied music. B.E.P. is considered hip-hop. However, their music and beats are never the same. Each member can sing, rap, and write music. This allows for a different song almost every time. For example, in their song My Humps it is primarily Fergie and rapping to a hip-hop beat while Taboo and occasionally sing in the background. But in their song, Meet Me Halfway, each member has a rap verse....
