The food portion and size I chose from the USDA website was one cup of raw parsnip slices. The reason I chose parsnips was because I have seen them while grocery shopping, but was unsure what they were. They resemble cream colored carrots with roots. What are Parsnips (n.d) states that parsnips are vegetables that have sweet flavor, and are great in soups, or served by themselves as side dishes. This portions size approximate weight is 133 grams.
