Advances in the field of cell and molecular biology have given humanity a great deal of profits. Science is constantly satisfying humanity’s needs and hunger for knowledge. A major advancement in the field of medicine with the aid of cell and molecular biology research and studies is the stem cell technology. These undifferentiated cells have been the answer to several diseases which scientists formerly find them impossible to cure. With these in mind they are given the motivation to a lot more attention on this particular field. Since we are dealing here with species at a cellular level, it is best to consider what the science of cell and molecular biology has contributed to our society. Probably before this field was born, studies in biology were on a large-scale basis. Until then than scientists find it important to study the smaller parts that compromise the whole because in order to understand something, one has to acquaint himself with its parts. Nowadays, scientists can study life at a molecular level and nearly to an atomic level. With the understanding that these molecules dictate function of cells, scientists are now able to manipulate these machineries themselves. And all of these require great knowledge and understanding on the nature of molecules such as proteins, lipids, nucleic acids and how they interact with fellow biomolecules as well as with foreign substances like hormones. Thanks to molecular biology and to other fields such as genetics and biochemistry, all of these are achieved. I believe the field of molecular biology is relatively young. Nevertheless, so many things regarding the molecular level of life had been not only discovered but also applied for the benefit of us people. From mouse stem cells to embryonic stem cells and now the _____ SC’s are just one of the many products of the field of molecular biology. Accompanied by the advancements are the limitations in which the two are often...
