Bill Gates was born on October 28, 1955 in Seattle, Washington he came from a family of entrepreneurs, who had a back ground in business, political and community service. His father, William H. Gates II, is a Seattle attorney. His late mother, Mary Gates, was a schoolteacher, University of Washington regent, and chairwoman of United Way International. His great-grandfather was a state legislator and a mayor, his grandfather was vice president of national bank.
