Need for the study
This study is taken for the fulfilment of course MBM [PM] of North Maharashtra University Jalgaon. This training is undertaken within September 2012 to October 2012 the main purpose of training was to know the application of theoretical aspects in our course in corporate environment and gain first -hand experience and expose our self to corporate policies, ethics, culture , practices, procedures facts about the work culture and policies of the company.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
To understand the organization structure of the company. To understand the working of Human Resource department.
To enable us to insight the corporate world.
To understand the responsibilities and duties carried out by HR department. The study is aimed at understanding how HR personnel work in real situation.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY
oThis study is conducted at Big Bazaar Jalgaon.
oIt aims at study of company’s organization structure, HR department and policies.

LIMITATION OF STUDY
oTime limit is the major constraint.
oAs per the company’s rules many information were not disclosed. oThe hr personnel were too busy in their schedule it was not possible to spend much time with them.

METHODOLOGY ADOPTED
Observation of working HR department
Discuss with HR manager and other employees at the store. •Visiting the surfing websites of the company.

COMPANY PROFILE
Big Bazaar is a chain of hypermarket in India. As of June 2, 2012 there are 214 stores across 90 cities and towns in India covering around 16 million sq.ft. of retail space. Big Bazaar is designed as an agglomeration of bazaars or Indian markets with clusters offering a wide range of merchandise including fashion and apparels, food products, general merchandise, furniture, electronics, books, fast food and leisure and entertainment sections.
