What type of retailer is Best Buy?
Best Buy is a electronic and home appliance retailer.
Do you agree with the strategy Best Buy has adopted to respond to its competition? Why or Why not? I agree with the strategy because, Wal-Mart Supercenters always get new items in their stores seems like every week. This big chain always has had an eye for marketing everyone’s products. When something new hits the market, it is sent to the best places where it can get sold quickly and make a profit. By being the PC industry, Best Buy has come along way to improve its sales and out do the competition. When the doors opened with a new name, it brought the attention to a lot of consumers. I was a Best Buy customer for along time. The purchases I made were very satisfying and the customer service was outstanding. Describe the six components of Best Buy’s retailing mix? Is there anything you would change? Explain! Best Buy six components were to selling more upscale and higher-margin merchandise. They would hire more highly trained sales consultants to assist with more complex and expensive purchases. Best Buy would stay open for longer hours on the weekends. They also, outsourced lowered items to china. They sold installation and connection services for their products. I would not change anything because; you are pushing your products to a whole new level after recovering from a tragedy. What you are offering now will not only bring in profits, great markets, but new customers.
