From My Beginning to My Future
This paper will be a reflection of my past to my future. I am only 38 years old, but I have experienced several life events that have structured my life today and my goals for the future. As a child growing up I had a different dream of how my life would be. Looking back I can see that my mother played a major role in my adult development. Some other influences that played a part in my adult development are the various church groups that I was a part of in my youth. The following is a brief description of my life experiences. I was born in Greenville, Mississippi on April 18, 1974. At the time of my birth my mother was a twenty year old middle school dropout with one child. I had many memories of her working hard and leaving us with various church members while she struggled to provide for me and my older sister. I would always dream about her not having to work so much. Although she worked a lot we knew that she loved us. When I was 14 years old my younger sister came along. My mother was still a single parent raising us to the best of her ability. She was very active in church, and would make sure we were attending even when she could not. Watching my mom struggle the way she did, made me make a decision not to make some of the same mistakes that my mother made....
