Today I will be discussing the development of a high level computer network design for Bead Bar. My discussion will include the topologies that should be used. Also, the type of network architecture that should be used for Bead Bar. Finally, the network recommendations that I will provide for the Bead Bar as well as the network advantages and drawbacks also.
For the background you have the push technology so network administrators no longer need to go to each computer and physically install software. Then there is also the network topology that has different configurations of network components. There is also the metropolitan area network that works in this business and it consists of a high speed backbone that can provide businesses and individuals with fast internet access such as video conferencing. Bead Bar also uses a computer network that’s connected for the purpose of sharing data. This is the back ground information on Bead Bar that relates to the company’s IT needs.
The recommendations for the network topology I would use would be either: 1. The bus topology which has a low cost and has an easy configuration. 2. The ring topology because it’s reliable the network administrator can route data around the failing node. As far as network architecture I would use the client/server because you can handle a lot of requests from clients and you can do your work off the laptop computer with this network. This would be my recommendations for the network topology and architecture for this overview.
I would use the bus topology because it’s inexpensive and it’s easy to add new devices to the network by connecting them to the bus. Besides that every business uses the bus topology because it’s very inexpensive and it’s a simple network. Also all data that is transmitted between nodes in the network is transmitted over this common transmission medium and is able to be received by all nodes in the network virtually simultaneously avoiding delays. This would be... [continues]
