A lot of research has been conducted on the physical force naturally involved and the biomechanics that are involved when one is shooting a basket ball. There are positions that work out the best result during the shooting time. They work best due to the force exerted and the angle and tactic used. All these concepts rely on the physical positions and energy exertion areas that are employed. From mid range to long range activities in basketball shooting, there are six major points to be considered in this coursework. When the wrong ways are used, that is, taking less consideration on the physical parts without calculation of the determinants like velocity of the released ball, position of the athlete and spinning capabilities, may produce poor results in the basket ball sporting activities.
When the athlete or the coaches fail in making the correct moves in the paying court may lead to injury and other disastrous fallouts. Injuries occurring in professional sports can therefore be costly to both the athlete and even the whole team, with more people being at stake than ever before in the industry of sports. There is a big increase in the incidences of injury for the past few decades. (McClay et al.,1994). Through this we should stand a chance to learn the require ideas in order to make positive outcome from sports, basing the ideas more on the basket ball sports game.
The ideas are depicted from the physical practical experience hand in hand with the biomechanics research which may enhance the performance for both athletes and the teachers and coaches who have interest to get the concepts involved for good performance. (Knudson, D. V. 2003).There will be more focus on the in the area that is more critical and more relevant in this study, that is, the jump shot, particularly a successful jump shot. There is important calculations that are to be made before starting the jump shot during the jump shot and after the jump shot, this is majorly for safe landing and settlement. Body position and explanation
The body position of an athlete may determine both the velocity and the spin rate of the ball; hence this is considered the most important factor in the exercise. This also determines the direction that the ball will move to, that is horizontally or vertically to the goal net. The best position is known as the 'squire up' position where the athlete bends the body in such a position that it squires upwards while in motion and towards the basket goal the jump in vertical manner. There will be triggering of the stable base of support therefore minimizing the horizontal motion of the body. Fro the research (Satern, 1988) this position is best one for one to have the ability to create a very accurate shot.
There exists a relationship between the staggered stance with the possible alignment of the feet, that is between fourteen and eighteen degrees from the jump and its parallel shoot of success.
