In the Beginning
Life initially begins at the moment of conception, In general everyone has a beginning and and an end. There is basically no difference in the beginning of know one life. After conception and birth we begin to develop our selves culturally and morally in our given environment and thus we begin our journeys through life. I guess I am no exception to this rule. The only difference for me is the way I was brought up in the environment that was constructed for me at birth. My environment consisted of my immediate family members, peers, and my neighbors and neighborhood, which ultimately helped to develop me as a person. The purpose of this paper is to use Erick Erickson's Developmental theory and Lawrence Kohlberg's developmental model of moral development to analyze my life as described through their stages.
Stage One Trust vs Mistrust:
The first stage I will attempt to discuss with some hesitation because as a infant I can hardly remember my existence except for that my cares and needs were meet during this period through the love and care that I got from my mother and grandparents. In an article Parental Influences on Memories of Parents and Friends, the authors discuss how children develop their memories from interactions with family and later with friends, they believe that is important to remember that the types of interactions that one has constructs the memory process. In this stage I suppose it would be realistic to say that trust and mistrust is developed through what our senses precieve as being satisfied or comforted in situations as opposed to feeling pain or discomfort in a situation, for example a crying baby that...
