The project was undertaken to study the Indian Motorcycle Industry in reference to know the various products and basic services provided by these Motorcycle Companies. Various theoretical and practical aspects were studied in regard to this project. The project is aimed at studying the reason why the consumer purchases any particular Bike of any particular segment and what are those attributes which attracts the consumer towards them and compel them to make their decisions. Various parameters were analyzed to know the current status of the Indian Motorcycle Industry and their various products which are offered to the customers.

Bajaj Auto Ltd. is the largest exporter of two and three wheelers. With Kawasaki Heavy Industries of Japan, Bajaj manufactures state-of-the-art range of two-wheelers. The brand, Pulsar is continually dominating the Indian motorcycle market in the premium segment. Its Discover DTSi is also a successful bike on Indian roads.

The Bajaj Group is one of the leading business houses of India. Its business interests span host of industries such as automobiles (two-wheelers and three-wheelers), home appliances, lighting, iron and steel, insurance, travel and finance.
