Baidu, Inc. , simply known as Baidu and incorporated on January 18, 2000, is a Chinese web services company headquartered in the Baidu Campus in Haidian District, Beijing, China.

Perform a general environment analysis. Identify and analyse the most significant environmental segments facing baidu. How will baidu be affected by these external factors?

A.Demographic Segment
Baidu is a Chinese web, most users are Chinese. As all know, China has the largest population in the world. So in other words, Baidu absolutely has a very large market in China. Nowadays Internet is popularization, even child can use this. Baidu's potential in China also very big.

B.Economic Segment
The China is the world's second largest economy after the United States. It is the world's fastest-growing major economy, with average growth rates of 10% for the past 30 years. Chinese become rich, computer can say popularization in most of China. Most people can afford. For more, nowadyas people would pay more on Internet shopping. search engines Baidu would earn more profits from these Internet shopping or some advertises.

C.Physical Segment
Now in China, shopping on-line is more and more popular. Majority younger people like shopping on-line. This really bring a lot profit to Baidu firm. As the increasingly rapid economic and the globalization, people's orientation become more international. People's interest changing is a important aspect that affect Baidu firm.

D.Sociocultural Segment
Baidu is Chinese company. They based on china market mainly, mainly use Chinese language. They focus on searches in Chinese. Then do a lot reformation to make sure Chinese culture will accept this search engine. They use strategies in Chinese ways, to cater to masses' need., being local, understand local. Also this is why Baidu is so popular in China.

E.Global Segment
As the world become more and more smaller, globalization also makes some problem like competition. The key foreign competitors include GOOGLE, BINGYIN and YAHOO. This really affect Baidu's market in China. But Baidu has its own operation Chinese way, to mainly attract Chinese customers. So it still keep majority customers in China market.

F. Technological Segment
From the Baidu news, we can tell that Baidu initially became popular because of its multimedia content, including MP3 music and movies. They also introduce "pay-for -performance", which allowed companies to bid for search-result placement based on relevant keywords. Technology is innovation and progress, Baidu with moder scientific and technological methods, keeping provide new information and constantly improving their search engines.

G. Political Segment
China is also a special country. It just has one political party. The government control everything, include the web. Baidu is strict according the policy of China....
