Part 1: GENERAL INFORMATION

YOUR SUPERVISION:

a. The Dissertation Coordinator will allocate a supervisor to you once Registry has confirmed your eligibility to take the first dissertation module of your Programme. This will show in the eVision portal as your Academic Supervisor (check for updates). b. You will normally keep the same supervisor throughout the 2 semesters of year 3. c. You should make initial contact with your supervisor as soon as possible in order to start the supervision process. d. Each student has 5 available hours of contact time per semester with their supervisor. e. Students on their 1st semester should meet with their supervisor, ideally every 2 weeks, although on Semester 2 face to face contacts may become less frequent. f. Students are required to complete their dissertations on campus, although under exceptional circumstances may seek approval to undertake the 2nd semester of their dissertation away from campus. If approval is granted by the relevant Programme Director, then students should still maintain regular contact by email/Skype/phone as appropriate, however students should evaluate the disadvantages of remote supervision before undertaking this. g....
