Coming to the more serious aspects, both badminton and tennis are played in professional competitions. In both games, players can perform underhand serves. Although tennis players are always seen to serve overhead, they are permitted to serve underhand if they wish to, however at the risk of a powerful return from the opponent. -------------------------------------------------

In specifying the similarities between tennis and badminton, one cannot fail to mention that both these games originated from the United Kingdom. -------------------------------------------------

As with many sports, badminton and tennis assist in keeping players fit. It also helps to hold off depression and stress. Furthermore, the exercise from badminton is a good relief from insomnia and reduces the chances of sickness due to lack of sleep. -------------------------------------------------

Badminton and tennis are played and viewed all around the world, albeit the success differs between countries. In general, tennis is more popular amongst western countries and badminton is more preferable in Asian countries such as China.
