Avon, the company for women, is a leading global beauty company, with nearly $11 billion in annual revenue. As the world 's largest direct seller, Avon is sold through more than 6 million active independent Avon Sales Representatives. Avon products are available in over 100 countries, and the product line includes color cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, fashion and home products, featuring such well-recognized brand names as Avon Color, ANEW, Skin-So-Soft, Advance Techniques, and mark. Avon’s mission states that their success is measured by their leadership in the global marketplace and in the human spirit: how many lives they can change, how many doors they can open. They strive to be an industry leader in many areas of corporate responsibility constantly developing and growing new brands of products for women and men to enjoy. In today’s society many people are looking for ways to obtain some relaxation without having to spend a whole lot on money doing so. This can be accomplished in many ways or forms. For example, when a mother decides to take a nice hot bath that includes something such as bubble bath or sea salt. Women rely on going into the grocery store to pick up a box of Calgon or some relaxing bubble bath beads to help her relax and wash away the day.
With this in mind Avon’s new brand extension suggestion is Skin-So-Soft Lavender and Chamomile. This is a line extension to the existing parent product Skin-So-Soft., which has three other types, the Original, Soft & Sensual, and Signature Silk. The benefits of using the lavender and chamomile is the affect they both have on helping a person relax naturally. Lavender has been known as a calming and relaxing herb with frequent use to help treat people for insomnia, anxiety, depression, and as a natural stress reliever. In a recent study it was discovered that the scent of lavender can increase the time a person spends indulging in a deep
