2. Define what an attitude is and list the factors that influence the relationship between attitudes and behaviours. Why do some individuals seem to exhibit behaviour that is inconsistent with their attitudes?

attitude is a psychological tendency expressed by evaluating an entity with some degree of favour or disfavour. it is the basis of an evaluative response to a particular situation, event or issue. attitudes can be influenced by direct experience and social learning and some important work attitudes include job satisfaction, organizational commitment and employee engagement. these attitudes have a direct influence on an individual's outcome and if these attitudes are positive, the behaviour demonsatrates high levels of motivation, commitment and citizenship behaviour.

3. Discuss three work-relate attitudes that are commonly used to describe an employee's level of positive feeling towards an organization. How can managers encourage organizational citizenship?
