When people meet me and my twin sister, they talk about how complete opposites we are. That got me thinking about how different people are. I wondered why people are different and figured that people are different because of the different situations they are put in and their attitude towards it. An attitude is an expression of favour or disfavour toward a person, place, thing, or event (the attitude object). Since, situations are plenty I decided to classify people into four categories based on their attitudes. Some people take everything positively. They are confident about both themselves as well as the people around them. This is a very healthy attitude. Such a person’s confidence can boost others’ confidence too. This category is called “I’m ok-u r ok”. Our former president Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam falls into this category. The next category of people is those who are quite insecure. They believe “you can do it, but, I can’t”. They think something is wrong with them or that they are imperfect. They think they are the only ones in the world who is imperfect. They think negatively about themselves. They are the ones who encourage others to do things but will not volunteer themselves. And, this category is called “I’m not ok-u r ok”. Most teenagers fall into this category. There are some people who are over-confident and think low of others. They think they can do anything but others cannot. They think they are the only ones who are perfect. They tend to be arrogant. This is not a good attitude. This category is called “I’m ok-u r not ok”. The last category named “I’m not ok- u r not ok” is of people who are consumed by negativity or negative thinking. They think nothing is perfect in this world. Nothing. Neither do they think they can do it nor do they think others can do it. People who fall into this category can lower your confidence and your belief in yourself.
