At a corner

At a corner of a fast-pace and cosmopolitan city, there is a school stands towering like a small castle high on Kowloon’s verdant slope, shining like a beacon bright, where girly giggles and students’ reading aloud are dancing in the air. Even though it locates in a secluded area of the city, but it brings back many pleasant memories of my high school. Here it is – Good Hope School.
Instead of sitting in the urban areas like the other secondary schools did, with plenty shopping malls, convenient stalls, and metro station. She rather sits at the mountain edge quietly, enjoying the breath-taking scenery of Kowloon district, bustling with noise and excitement. Good Hope loves to be with nature, surrounded by tall trees, small bushes and flowers that smell like honey. What does it look like? Imagine two horizontal rectangles are stick to left and right side of the dull red-brown square, with small rectangle windows aligning in rows.   There are two roads at the side of the school; the roads are often congesting with cars in the morning, since the teachers and students are in a hurry to arrive school. At noon, teachers and students do not go out for lunch most of the time, so the roads remain tranquil, only a few cars pass by; contrarily, the school is filled with students’ scream and laughter.   The streetlights come on at dusk; the atmosphere seems filled with quietness and gloominess that makes you feel like you are at the haunted house.
Viewing it from a farther place, the tall trees look like they are hugging the school.   Mountains are tall, trees are standing strong, and gentle breezes rustle through leaves, the wind sway the flowers to sunshine beams.   The flowers are blooming beautifully like they are smiling to you, welcoming you to this decent school.
