I chose this topic because I had asthma a long time ago when I was a small child. My asthma symptom developed when I was five years old, and I fought through it for almost seven years. Now although I don¡¯t have this disease anymore and don¡¯t need to take medicines for it at all, I am still really interested in asthma. So, to my curiosity and to my experiences, I decide to write about it in my paper. I will tell you what is asthma; what causes asthma; what are the symptoms of asthma; is there a cure or not; what¡¯s the treatment of asthma; how can you prevent asthma; how many people have suffered and die each year because of asthma; etc. According to, asthma is a chronic respiratory disease which often arising from allergies that are characterized by sudden recurring attacks of labored breathing, chest constriction and coughing. Long story short, asthma is a lung disease that causes breathing problems. The most common causes of asthma are allergies (animals, pollen, or seafood), and environmental problems (air pollutions, dust, and mold). Surprisingly asthma can also cause by birth. Asthma inflames and narrows the airways to make it difficult for air to pass in and out of the lungs, thus decreases the oxygen levels in the blood. So when a person is suffering from an asthma attack, she or he will have a sensation similar to drowning. Doctors say the earlier found out it is asthma, the better it can be treated. The early warning signs are tiredness, coughing, runny nose, and itchy throat. Asthma symptoms include hissing or wheezing sounds in the chest, feeling short of breath, heavy or tight feeling in the chest, and a change in the thickness, amount, or color of the mucus when you cough....
