Part 1 Thesis
We as people have been through many tribulations and difficult trials, many years of pain, and will continue to be living through many more. These difficult trials and tribulations are a part of life. There are a great number of people who have medical issues; this includes the elderly, those who have cancer, HIV and AIDS just to name a few. These are some of whom are in pan and have the desire to no want to live any longer. The question is should we be able to assist people who are in such bad health and have no positive outlook on life to commit assisted suicide? Does any one person have the right to choose the fate of another, whether that person should live or die? Is assisted suicide murder?
My argument on whether or not assisted suicide be legal is a definitely no, it should not be legal. I believe assisted suicide is wrong, and is definitely murder. What gives us the right to be able to take another person’s life even if it is their wish? There is only one with the power to take a life and make that decision and he is of course the one with much greater power than any of us. I know of many people who have suffered a lot and some who are still in great pain, but that does not give us the right to help them take their own life. I believe assisted suicide is an escape goat for many people so they do not have to deal with the reality of their problems or pain. It sounds mean, I know, but this is reality. I think that assisted suicide is just the same as suicide or murder. Suicide in any form and along with murder is a sin against God. In the Bible, suicide is the same as murder and it is wrong. There are no circumstances no matter what that can justify a human being, a Christian especially, for taking their own life. Christians are to live for God, be his disciples, and the decision on when to die are God’s and only God’s. In the Bible 1 Corinthians 3:15... [continues]
