Develop a Staffing plan for RWBFC in Accordance with the Constraints Stated in the Case
According to Reid and Sanders (2010), in the case Scheduling at Red, White, and Blue Fireworks Company, the production manager Joan Bennett decided to change the work schedule for manufacturer employees. She wanted to develop a schedule to operate ten hour each day, seven days each week. The schedule is developed in this assignment based on information given in the case. Discuss the Method Used in Developing the Staffing Plan
The schedule is developed using Tibrewala, Phillippe, and Brown technique. The schedule enables RWBFC to operate seven days a week and give each employee three consecutive days off. Tibrewala, Phillippe, and Brown technique is developed in the following steps.

The first step is to identify the number of employees needed for each day for the week. According to the case study the manufacturing process requires a minimum of 20 employees (Reid & Sanders, 2010, p.587). Therefore, the number of employees needed for each day is 20. This number for each day is shown in the first row of Table 1 on the left side.

The second step is to calculate the number of employees needed for each three consecutive days during the week based on minimum number of employees needed each day. This is calculated as follows. The consecutive days are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (MTW), and...
