1. Explain why it is important to communicate effectively with children, young people and adults in order to develop positive relationships ( 1.1.1)

Children: Communication is very important, very young children often cannot express their thoughts and feelings in words because of this it is important to listen carefully, use eye contact, communicate using body language and facial expressions make sure to adapt to the children’s needs, this helps build up a rap pore and builds trust and this will help better relations with the child.

Young People: Communicating with young people allows individuals to understand and express their own feelings, this allows them to develop their self-identity, to help with social relationships, to build trust so they feel they can talk to you with any problems/concerns also communication skills can lower stress levels and promote healthy behaviour’s.

Adults: Communication in adults is important. Using eye contact, being interested in what they say, show that you care and have respect for them you are able to build a rap pour, gain their trust to build positive relations so they can talk to you.

2. Explain how classroom assistants can build relationships with the children and young people in their care. (a) Class room assistants can build relationships with children by adapting to their needs, making eye contact, listening to the child, being friendly, talking at their level, using certain body language’s to show you are interested in them this will help the children feel at ease and will build a relationship.
