New Art Verse The Real World
Has Art Changed overtime? Art today needs to be more interesting and unique because people are not as in to art as they were years ago. Art needs to keep with the modern day, which means artist need to make their art challenging and shocking. New art needs to add pieces of the real world in to the art piece to catch people’s eyes and also for the audience and can relate to. It also needs to be able to keep up with the real world, which means new art needs to be constantly changing because the world is constantly changing. In today’s world new things are becoming more popular which mean things are also becoming less popular, like art. The society today is becoming all about technology, which is why art needs to add technology into it, for than art pieces are able to compete with the real world. “ Computer engineers displayed a recreation of Da Vincis Mona Lisa made out of computer parts.” (Urbanist) In this particular art piece, “Asustek an electronics maker in Taiwan saw the chance to recycle obsolete motherboards by using them to make their own Mona Lisa display. It is an abstract work of art more than anything else” (Reilly) Asustek used computer parts to make a masterpiece. He used technology to create this piece but specifically he used computer parts which made a creative, challenging, shocking piece to one’s eye because this piece is something you would not except to see, which is what new art needs to it. New art needs something from the real world to engage the audience because than the audience can also connect to the piece easier. Computer is an example of that because computers are a big part of the real world, since people use them everyday and relay on them also. Asustek art piece also demonstrates heterogeneity because he uses different types of computer parts that mean nothing but when he combined all the computer pieces together he created a picture with a deep meaning.
