Art Institute of Fort
Lauderdale The school that we are working on is called The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. The school was found in September, in the year of 1968. It is the second out of the current 42 Art Institutes established in North America. The person who found this school was a male. His name was Mark K. Wheeler. In the year of 1973 the school was purchased from Mark k. Wheeler by the Education Management Corporation [EDMC].

The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale is now located in Fort Lauderdale 1799 SE 17th Street. But a long time ago it was located on Las Olas Boulevard but EDMC decided to move it to the current location it is now at.

The president of this Institute is Charles J. Nagele. The vice president is Maria Barron. There are 125+ staff members and 3,000+ students in the school.

School Campus
The campus offers programs in design, fashion, Culinary, And Media Arts. The school is made up of 16 Art departments, two complied art schools, the international culinary school, The chef’s Palette Restaurant and two off campus dormitory complexes. Housing

The dormitory complex is about five miles away. These dorms are for students who prefer living on campus than off campus. The dormitory is supervised 24 hours a day. The Chef’s Palette

The Chef’s Palette is a restaurant located on 1650 SE 17th Street of Fort Lauderdale. The Chef’s Palette is owned by the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. At the restaurant the meal is prepared in front of you. The food is served and made by the students of the International Culinary School. A three course meal is $12.99 for each person.

The school is licensed to award bachelor science, associate of science degree and diplomas. Also the courses are taught by industry professionals....
