This theme of technology making people more distracted, are making me taking more awareness, bacause this thing is taking me all my attraction and ignore other more important things. I am counter of using technology on places which should not be, but in my case is irresistible. Part by choosing this theme was for you as teacher and a student tell me what I need to do for a better results. The prices of college tuition have increased yearly, and not much of an effort is put forth to try to lower the costs. For example, colleges in the state of Pennsylvania have a high tuition. Moravian College’s tuition is about $32,931, and after receipt of grants and scholarships for one year it will be $22,900. East Stroudsburg University’s tuition is about $6,240, and after receipt of grants and scholarships for one year it will be $12,500. I can barely afford Community College, and I know for a fact I wouldn’t be able to afford any of these colleges or universities either. In this essay, I will explain through facts and opinions, why the cost of college tuition should be lowered.…

Sexual thoughts pop in and out of most people’s mind, but especially teenagers, and there’s nothing they can do about it. It is normal for teenage boys and girls to experience this, more than ever when they are hitting puberty. The hormones in the body begin to act up and teenagers want to experience other things on their own. Males begin to grow pubic and facial hairs, and their voice starts to deepen, while girls’ breasts begin to develop and their body begins to take shape. After hitting puberty, teenagers are now at the point where they want to experience things. ‚Don’t go out there and get pregnant‛ a mother explains, ‚you’re too young and I don’t think you’re ready to be a mother.‛ Likewise for a father, ‚Don’t get no girl pregnant and have a child you can’t even take care of.‛ However, that’s the only serious conversation parents ever have with their children about serious matters such as adolescence. They do not speak about the deeper things that teenagers need to be informed about and as a result teenagers will have to find out on their own. They will dwell on the things they have learnt, some even begin to have perverted thoughts and most teenagers want to experiment and put them into practice later on in life -- but where are the parents, where are the pastors, the counselors, all the essential people when it comes to issues such as these? Adults want to tell the younger children that sex is wrong at a young age, but don’t go into the deeper things such as masturbation or even internet pornography. The older folks want to say that the younger generation is corrupted, but never have they really sat down with a young man and mention things such as lust of the mind, and the same for girls. Adults are the cause of the perversion in the minds of their own children. Teenagers and even the younger children hear about pornography from their…

As of November 20, 2014, same –sex marriage has been legalized in 35 out of 50 U.S. states. Same-sex marriage is a hot topic which the Supreme Court is considering to legalize. Many people say a homosexual person is a sinner. The question is do homosexual people choose his or her gender? They were born that way and they are happy with their lives. Homosexual people are nothing unlike heterosexual people. They are living, they are working, and they contribute to society. Proponents state that same-sex couples should have access to the same marriage benefits and public acknowledgment enjoyed by heterosexual couples and that prohibiting gay marriage is unconstitutional discrimination. On the other side, opponents argue that altering the traditional definition of marriage as between a man and a woman will further weaken a threatened institution and that legalizing gay marriage is a slippery downhill way that may lead to polygamous and interspecies marriages (gaymarriage.procon.org). All people in the world should understand the meaning of marriage, whether a same-sex marriage or a traditional marriage. For that reason, same-sex marriage should be considered as a legal marriage because it is an equal right for humankind and beneficial for society as well as preventing youth suicide.…

In America there are so many people who live without healthcare. President Obama has tried hard to change that known fact by introducing and passing his new Obama Care Act. It is very important for people to have proper healthcare coverage, medical care, affordable medications, and for all healthcare services to be available to everyone, whether they are poor, middle class or rich. For most Americans, high quality care generally is readily accessible without long waits but at high cost. However, the uninsured and, increasingly, the underinsured, the poor, and members of underserved minorities often have poor access to health care and poor health outcomes. The health workforce is well trained, yet the United States faces a severe shortage of primary care physicians. Approximately 45% of the U.S. population has a chronic medical condition, and about 60 million people, half of these, have multiple chronic conditions; the CDC estimated these numbers during a recent survey.…

Driving requires a lot of concentration in order to keep the road, and ourselves safe. Nowadays, many people have a license without being able to drive in a manner that is responsible. This raises the question of cell phones. There are many factors that contribute to accidents. Eating, drinking, reaching for fallen objects and talking to passengers are also some other elements that takes the drivers attention away from the road. Cell phones are not an exception, but they can also be very useful. However, they too present a danger for everyone, therefore, I agree that their use should be prohibited while driving.…

Some people would argue that text messaging has a negative effect on the performance of students’ formal writing skills, but texting does not have a significant effect on how students write their papers. “This unique writing style provides opportunities for creativity in students’ formal writing” (Shafie, Norizul, Osman 97). The way students’ text does not have much of an impact on their formal work because texting on a cell phone is totally different then typing on a keyboard. Texting can be compared to free writing and most of the time students don’t realize what they are doing when their texting, but really they are practicing writing on a daily basis. Although, text messaging forsakes spelling, sentence structure, capitalization, and punctuation in favor of speed, when a student sits down to write a formal paper for a school assignment they are usually not rushed to get done with it. Teachers should ignore this new way of communication and should be aware that students will always be texting, because from the looks of it, it is here to stay!…
