I should have focused more on my grades this year. By attending many social events, waiting until the last minute to complete work, and refusing to study my grades began to drop. I feel that if I would have put more effort into my school work I would have achieved the grades I am capable of getting. By hanging out with friends and putting off work my grades gradually began to drop. Your senior year is not the year to slack off in; it would have better prepared me for college and set the tone for how I should work if I had just put in the effort necessary to achieve outstanding grades. When in college I cannot make this same mistake; all of my dreams of obtaining a decent job after college could be ruined. If I had not attended so many social events my grades could have been significantly better. A majority of students would agree that by spending more time with friends and less on school work, your grades will drop drastically. I put my friends and social life before my school work. This doesn’t mean that I should not have gone to any social events, just not as many. By going to so many games, I stayed out late and did not give myself enough time to complete my homework. I will not make the same mistake in college; I will get my attitude straight and finish off this last quarter strong. This semester I waited until the last minute to start many of my assignments. The majority of the student body would agree that waiting until the last minute to begin school work could only influence your grade negatively. By doing this I rushed myself to complete the work before I went to bed. I also lost sleep doing it which affected my ability to learn in class as well. I did not allow myself enough time to finish the assignment and if I did not know the answer to a question I would just write something down. Rushing myself made me unorganized, and my grades began to reflect how much time and effort I was putting into my school work. I will not wait so...
