are your friends good friends ?
There are different ways to tell the difference between a real friend and a fake friend. Some qualities in a good friend are they are trust worthy, they listen to your thoughts, concerns and issues, and you can tell them stuff without them judging you. If someone doesn’t always use these traits it doesn’t make them a “bad friend”, people make mistakes and as people ourselves we should forgive and forget because one of these days were going to mess up too, it happens to all of us, when we mess up we are going to expect others to forgive us but it is a lot less likely for them to forgive us if we don’t forgive them, as the lord said in the Matthew 7:12 “do to others what you would have them do to you.” A bad friend doesn’t have a problem lying to you or telling people your personal information. They have a negative attitude, they’re only there for you during good times, and they encourage you to do things that could get you in trouble instead of encouraging you to do things that will reflect positively in your life. A lot of the time with a fake friend you feel uncomfortable like they will be judgmental. Silences are awkward so you feel the need to strike up conversation with them, sometimes you feel as though your relationship is all one sided like you are making all the effort. They make up rumors weather they are true a real friend wouldn’t put you through the emotional pain with drama, often you agree with them no matter how you feel just to keep things civil.

The Bible: Ecclesiastes notes that "two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe unto him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up." A good friendship is one of the most important relationships we will have in our lives. What is a friend anyways? It’s one who comforts you and has a lot in common with you. Sure, we have family, but it is often a friend we go to when we need comfort and advice. Being a true friend requires certain important characteristics. It takes something very immense to show who your real friends are. It could range from a moment of drama where a friend stays by your side, to sitting bed side by your friend in critical conditions. I learned how to be the person who shows their true side in these situations. By doing so, I have been brought closer to many people who will now return the favor when my time of need comes. Always remember to ask the question, “Who will be there for me?” when you pick friends to bring into your circle.…

The friends that I used to have were very unreliable, trusting them was more work than it should have been. Seeing how they treated others around them made me change my opinion about them. To this day I am still friends with Carla, my other friends and I don’t talk anymore. Friends who you can trust and rely on without thinking are the people that you should strive to be around. Choosing which friends to trust, and to not trust is a tiring thing to do, but you should always choose someone who you know would stick up for you no matter the…

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary states that the definition of a friend is, “a person who has a strong liking for and trust in another person; a person who helps or supports something.” It is easy for a person to say that they trust another and that they care for them; however, if that person isn’t there for the other in his or her time of need, are they really a friend? Most people could count the amount of individuals that have proven to them by their actions that they are truly their friend on a single hand.…

Friendship is a sentimental bond between two people and this bond is broken by dishonesty. Honesty is important in friendship so that our friends believe that what we say. If we are known to be honest about all things then when we tell our friends something they believe you. If we are known to be dishonest for just once, none respect us. For example if I ask information about someone to my friend, he gave some information which is not truth. When I came to know that, I won't believe my friend next time. Even it will make gap between us.…

The word friend means exactly what it is, just a word. The pure substance behind the word no longer bares any true meaning and feeling behind it. I have learned to limit the use of the word and can only call a select few a true friend. Growing up I thought I was popular because I had so many friends. However little did I know that instead of calling these people friends, I should have substituted the word for acquaintances, or in the future outlook of it all, maybe even enemies. A friend is supposed to be there for you through thick and thin. Friends stick by your side no matter what and have your best interest in hand. There for, these people I considered friends, were not my friends, but bad influences.…

The first quality of being a good friend, is you need to be loyal to your other friends. A loyal person never spreads rumors about his/her friend. If you told your friend your secret and you told him/her to not tell anyone, they will not tell his/her own friends about your secret. One day, you might make a promise to one of your friends and say that you and you friend will not break that promise. A loyal person doesn't talk any negative things about you or anything that might hurt your feelings. For example, in the story they promised to each other that they will box like they have never seen each other before. If you always talk about bad things about your friend with other people you know, you are not a good friend. Eventually your friend will know that you are talking about them and they will most likely not want to be your friends anymore. It is very unlikely that they will…

For me the word "friend" means many different things. One of the things that makes someone a friend is when they are always there for you. They give you love if you are ever having a hard time and they try to lift up your mood. They make sure you are never in danger or doing something that could have negative consequences. A good friend looks out for you even if you are having an argument with them. When you are someone's friend, it doesn't mean you are talking to them at all hours of the day. A friend is someone that you can talk to even if you haven't talked in days and it won't feel weird at all. To me, a good friend is someone that will give me the best advice because they know me and they know what is best for me. I consider someone a…

What a true friend is not is also really important, some people think a true friend is one that barely talk to you unless they need something. If you think someone is your true friend look at how they treat you if they call you out on your flaws or the way you dress they probably aren’t a true friend or a friend at all for that matter. If you do have a friend that you are always with but the conversation is always about them then the friendship is not a real one. If someone makes you feel bad about yourself its probably best if you stop talking to them. If your friend is talking behind your back and saying rude nasty comments that’s when you know the friendship is fake.…
