Are Ghosts Real or Not?
¹ Ghosts are real. First, the most important thing to know is that ghosts are just human beings not living in physical bodies. These are people just like you and me. Like people everywhere, ghosts can be friendly, scary, smart, and stupid and everything in between, but they're just people.
Both skeptics and ardent believers in the paranormal admit that supernatural and unexplainable activity—sightings of ghost, spirit and/or aliens is on the rise. If there is no supernatural, what are these apparitions? Millions of eager viewers are gobbling up popular movies such as Ghost, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Beetle juice, Ghost Rider, and Ghost Busters. Video fantasy and arcade games featuring ghosts, skeletons, and mummies and beings alive after death are the rage.
² The most logical place to go to get the facts about supernatural things is the Bible. the one authority on things that cannot be seen or explained by natural earthly laws. And indeed, the Bible does indicate that paranormal activity and interest in the spirit world would increase at the very end of time. Even more alarmingly, the Bible warns that these spirits will lure multitudes into world wide deception.
“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty." Revelation 16:13-14. With this in mind, how vital it is that we understand what the Bible says about ghosts, spirits, and the afterlife. ____________________

To clarify what's out there to be investigated, Southall begins the handbook in earnest by defining the terms, since ghosts, spirits and poltergeists are not interchangeable and represent quite different phenomena.Ghosts and apparitions are a kind a recording on the environment - a residual energy that can come from a person, animal or even an inanimate object. We can experience these lingering energies by sight, sound, smell and touch. Spirits are what people most often think of as "ghosts." A spirit is the "actual sentient presence, or soul, of an individual or individuals who have remained in the material world after his or her physical body has died." Southall continues by describing different types of spirits and the reasons they may have stayed behind.…

Although there are quite a few skeptics who believe ghosts do not exist, those who do may wonder what the earth is like to such trapped souls. In Neal Shusterman’s The Skinjacker Trilogy he answers the question of what the ghost world may be like, but with an imaginative drive, and this limbo between life and “where one goes after death” is limited. This is a breakdown of key concepts in the limbo; the “realm” is called Everlost, and only children and teens can cross into it. In Everlost, souls are called Afterlights, and some may have certain abilities depending on the strength and the will of his or her spirit or the condition in which he or she had been when crossing into Everlost. In Everlost, the living world is not only a blur, but can…

Have you ever wondered if that shadow just escaping your peripheral sight is part of the paranormal or is it in fact just your imagination? Do ghosts really exist in the reality, or are they a combination of environmental factors and the human mind? 'Ghosts' are one of the most controversial concepts in history as it the paranormal, something that is way beyond the human understanding and in a different dimension. There many different opinions regarding ghosts, specifically the religious and the scientific perceptions. In a religious sense, they are seen as a spirit of a once living person or a demon or evil angels from hell that can take form of different beings. The scientific approach, and the more sensible of the two judgements, suggests that ghosts are merely created in the human brain due to the influence of the chemicals in the particular environment or due to mental disorders.…

There are good guys and bad guys in the world. People love to stay with a kind person since kind people are sincere and care about others. But people are not willing to be close to bad guys because they always bully others. Similarly, there are good ghosts and bad ghosts. People don’t hate good ghosts because they don’t hurt people. They are willing to know and stay with good ghosts. On the contrary, evil ghosts are scary. Those vile ghosts’ presence always means misfortune since they often hurt others without thoughts (thinking) and make others’ lives suffer. Lafcadio Hearn in “Nightmare-Touch” states that being touched by ghost is the common fear of people. However, a ghost’s touch is not the common fear of people. What…

Paranormal activity has been a hot topic worldwide for decades. Horror movies, novels, and television shows have been based on myths, legends, and even stories that are claimed to be true. Since many choose to watch or read about ghosts, there is debate over the authenticity of the stories and the existence of apparitions altogether. Author Joe Nickell, a stage magician, private investigator, and journalist argues that his experience with apparitions proves that paranormal accounts are entirely false, specifically involving notoriously haunted hotels, inns, and other lodgings. He offers several premises to debunk the ghostly accounts of people worldwide, using quotes and analysis from a variety of researchers and also his own personal encounters.…

Supernatural implied many things in the nineteenth century. It is difficult to define what is exactly meant by the term “supernatural”, the fact that made it so attractive. In addition to that, many individuals use that word in supporting the various tricks that promoted unexplained phenomena. The element of supernatural is the conviction that the dead can speak with the living; it was one of the common heresies throughout Europe and America in the 1850s. Because of its indescribable nature, diverse interpretations of the supernatural could permit spiritualists to trust on the presence of ghosts and zombies to clarify the marvels as mental. Supernatural events such as the hidden doors, the presence of vampires were understood as new types of…
