Arcelor and Mittal Steel Company are pleased to announce today the Chief
Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, members of the Management Board and members of the Board of Directors for [the new company] Arcelor Mittal.

The announcement came after the two giant steel companies, Arcelor and Mittal Steel, had finally agreed on the terms of a merger. It followed more than six months of discussions, during what turned out to be one of the most acrimonious takeover bids in European history.
The saga began on January 13, 2006, with a dinner invitation from Lakshmi Mittal, Mittal
