I would like to attend your University to pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work.   I am applying to begin graduate school in August 2011 and wish to attend the weekend program since I currently work during the week as a physical education teacher.   I am applying only to this program because it is accessible and best suits my needs and interests.   I am a current resident of Union County, and South Carolina, is within commuting distance from my home.   Also, I appreciate the fact that your University offers in-state tuition for counties surrounding the university.   I am attracted to the university’s weekend program because it offers small classes in the Social Work program, and I like the idea of attending a small program rather than a very large program, filled with large numbers of students in class sessions.  
I was born and raised in North Carolina.   I completed a two year Associate of Applied Science degree in 1999.   I later completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Educational in 2010.   I was on the Dean’s list for several semesters while attending night/weekend classes within the adult degree program.
After researching your University’s Master’s of Social Work program, I signed up to attend an information session provided by the Department of Social Work.   After the presentation, I talked with in detail about some questions I had about the program, and the staff provided all the information that I needed.   Once I researched and attended the information session, I knew this was the college I would like to attend for my graduate studies.   I completed the Miller Analogies Test and started the paperwork and the process of applying to graduate school at your University.
Working with children and families is the area that most interests me.   After obtaining my Master’s of Social Work degree, I plan to pursue my licensure to be a Clinical Social Worker, so I may begin employment with a private or non-profit organization.   My long term goal is... [continues]
