Chapter 01: Introduction
1.1Introduction to the Company
The City School is one of the largest private English medium schools within Pakistan. The Managing Director Mrs. Firzana Firoz envisioned the idea of the school in the late 1970’s. At that time, it was a single branch in the metropolis of Karachi. It has branches all across Pakistan including Karachi, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Lahore, Okara, Larkana, Sukkur, Sahiwal, Vehari, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Peshawar, Kohat, Quetta and others. It also has international branches in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bangaldesh. It now has more than 500 branches across Pakistan with over 50,000 students. The City School is considered a role model in the field of educational development and is an institute of excellence where the highest academic standards are maintained. The School prides itself in providing quality education. And so, all endeavors are directed towards teaching the students to be worthwhile citizens, so that one-day they will contribute positively to the progress of the nation. The School offers classes from Kindergarten to A-levels, as well as Metric, FA/FSc and BA/BSc. The education philosophy of TCS is explained in the school motto “I am to learn”. This means that the school exists to learn and that the process of learning is endless. The school and staff do not only want the children to acquire knowledge but to go on learning.
