Students attend college for a reason: because it plays an important role in professional and social life. College is available for career preparation and to expand learning. Before graduating I would like to research for a company to intern or to work for. I’ve been researching for several days seeking a company that would interest me. After researching, I have found a couple of companies that interest me, such as Apple Inc., Samsung, Sony, and Cayuga Medical Center. As I researched more about the companies I have decided the company that interests me most is “Apple Inc.”

Apple interests me for interning or working for because Apple promised, “A job at Apple is unlike any other you’ve had. You’ll be challenged. You’ll be inspired. And you’ll be proud. Because whatever your job is here, you’ll be part of something big.” This quote inspired me, and I like to be challenged in a workplace. The culture of Apple has never been stronger. Innovation is deeply embedded in Apple’s culture. Apple speaks to me, because of the boldness, ambition, belief there are not limits, a desire to make the very best products in the world. It is the strongest company ever.

Apple believes that living by strong values is the key to good business. At Apple, a rigorous code of conduct and those core values are at the heart of every decision they make. Quite simply, Apple is its people. At Apple, they are dedicated to giving their people a wealth of opportunities to reach their full potential. Everything Apple does is driven by an unyielding passion for excellence and an unfaltering commitment to develop the best products and services on the market. A business cannot be successful unless it creates prosperity and opportunity for others. Apple is dedicated to being a socially and environmentally responsible corporation in every community where they operate around the globe.

Talking to some Apple employees, you might come away with the impression that there is no better place to work than Apple. Being an employee once, I personally enjoyed every moment of it. On indeed.com a website where people commit about their experience with various company success, there are positive and negative comments. One of the ratings I read was “My experience at Apple has been amazing. I have met some of the most interesting and diverse individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. To say that Apple has impacted my life in a very big way would be a major understatement.” Many of the pros employees commented on were great management, great discount, diversity, great benefits and compensation, etc. The biggest cons that everyone commented were “no advancement opportunity.” From what I experienced working at Apple, I agree with everyone’s ratings.

Apple offers a large number of products in a variety of categories. In order to understand the various iPod products out there, it is necessary to review all of the Apple products and to what degree they relate to and integrate with each other. Apple’s product line is incorporated to a large degree in its Mission Statement. They have an extensive line of computers, both desktop and laptop, under the Mac name brand. Their desktop, iMac, revolutionized the industry by incorporating the tower into the monitor to minimize space. The laptops were known for their large screen size, all the while maintaining minimal weight and thickness, as well as a large assortment of hardware and speed. Their newest product is the MacBook Air, which is touts as the thinnest and lightest laptop on the market.

Apple also produced a line of digital media gadgets as an alternative or replacement to compact disks. The iPod stores hundreds of songs and videos, as well as a way connecting the device to various sound systems. The players allow music, videos, and movies to be accessed through multiple search features, and its innovative control surfaces range from scrolling wheel pads to touch screens. The iPod line, along with the iTunes...
