Government is taking steps to help the aging population. Many baby boomers have not saved up enough for retirement. This is obviously an issue because it will not be as rewarding to retire without some extra money. Without this extra money, they will not be able to travel or other things that they would like to do very often. As far as healthcare goes, the elderly have Medicare/Medicaid.
