MINUTES American Petroleum Institute SUBCOMMITTEE ON CORROSION AND MATERIALS TASK GROUP ON Cr-Mo STEELS – COKE DRUMS (API-934G)

Opening/Introductions/ Approval of Agenda

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson, Jorge Penso and each attendee was asked to introduce themselves. Agenda was reviewed. 58 attendees counted at start of meeting. See attached attendance list. Two additional attendees over the phone. Thanks to Kevin L. Ganschow for taking meeting notes. II- Reviewed Progress of Draft 934G Document: Reviewed what has been done to date that included: Meeting in Bechtel office in October 2011. Table of content revised and section documents assigned to smaller teams. Jim McLaughlin, Becth Engineering, selected as technical writer since last meeting. Current status: drafts of documents are being developed until the 4Q12. Leaders were assigned for different sections. o Showed meeting attendees the master table showing leaders and contributors. o Asked meeting attendees that we need more help from Operating Companies. Target to post draft on a common drive by June 30, 2012. o Setting up a 934G website. Partially completed. o McLaughlin showed first draft of document. Title: “Design, Fabrication, Operation, Inspection, Assessment and Repair of Delayed Coking Drums and Related Components” o Comment offered by licensor to change title slightly in regard to the word “Operation” in the title. Generally agreed that Operation not in scope but “Operational Effects” are in scope. Title to focus on Coke Drums than “Delayed Coking.” o Reviewed Table of Contents (TOC).
