Anthem analysis
In the novel Anthem Equality 7-2521 and Liberty 5-3000 live in a time where they couldn’t think for themselves but as a whole. Due to their not being able to think for themselves the pair decided to rebel, similar to what Adam and Eve did in they Garden of Eden. There are many similarities between Adam and Eve and Equality 7-2521 and Liberty 5-3000 they were outcast, and they both rebelled.

There are many similarities between Adam, and Eve, and Equality 7-2521, and Liberty 5-3000, such as, all four of these people were sent to solitude. “Our dearest one fear nothing of the forest. There is no danger in solitude” page 83. This quote is showing that Equality 7-2521, and Liberty 5-300 were sent to solitude. Another similarity is that both couples rebelled. Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit “Then the LORD God said: See! The man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil! Now, what if he also reaches out his hand to take fruit from the tree of life, and eats of it and lives forever?j23The LORD God therefore banished him from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he had been taken” Genesis. This quote is right after God has found out that the pair has eaten the forbidden fruit, in Anthem Equality 7-2521 and Liberty 5-3000 began to have there own thoughts rather than the thoughts of everyone. Which causes them to be sent to solitude as well, however there are also some differences. Adam and Eve were sent to the Garden of Eden where as, Equality 7-2521 and Liberty 5-300 escaped there home city and retreated to the forest. There are numerous similarities between Adam and Eve and Equality 7-2521 and Liberty 5-300 such as their being sent to solitude, on the other hand thought there are also differences between the two stories like the fact that Adam and Eve were sent to the garden of Eden where as Equality and Liberty escaped to the woods.
