Anna Pavlova did not have the best childhood. She was born on February 12, 1881, two months earlier than she should have been. Her mom was poor and did not have very much. One day her mother gathered up enough cash to take her to the ballet; it was Sleeping Beauty. That is when she decided that it would be her life long goal to become a ballerina. People told her that she could never make it as a ballerina because she was too thin, frail, and weak. Although these comments could really hurt someone, she did not let them get to her, actually they only made her want it more just so she could prove them wrong. When she tried to get into the Imperial School of Ballet at age eight she didn’t make it. She went back after two more year of practice and at age ten she got in. From there on her success would only grow.
Anna Pavlova did so much for the art of ballet. She brought more grace, skill, and drive than anyone has ever even attempted to reach. Her love for dance got people attention and made them not only want to see her, but feel the need to see her perform.
