Anger Is Bad for Health: Heart Attack, Stroke, and Skin Problems
Do you know being angry is bad for our health? Anger triggers will cause the adrenal glands flood the body with stress hormones, such as adrenalines and cortisol. The brain shunts blood away from the guts and toward muscles. Heart rate, blood pressure and respiration increases. The unmanaged anger will causes the health problems such as heart attack, stroke and skin problems. Frequent anger will raise the risk of heart disease significantly. According to Prof. Kubzansky, explosive people who hurl objects or scream to others may greater risk for heart attack. Anger might produce direct physiological effects on the heart and arteries. Frequent anger will speed up the process of atherosclerosis. When heart pumped harder and the blood vessels constricts. The blood pressure surges and cause high level glucose in the blood and fast globules in blood that can damage the artery walls. Anger and negative emotions may trigger for ischemic stroke, based to a study by American Academy of Neurology. The study found that people who had strokes more likely to have experienced anger in the 2 hours prior to the stroke. Of the 145 stroke patients studied, 32% described an inability to control anger or aggression up to a year after their stroke. Their findings had showed that inability to control anger or aggression should include in the list of common behavioral problems caused by stroke. Do you know anger can cause the skin problem such as eczema skin problems? A study of 128 patients in hospital outpatient department had showed that among 27 patients. When eczema skin symptoms manifest as red and inflamed rashes, they may be an underlying fire fuelled by suppressed anger. The stress can aggravate and worsen our bodily reactions and causing break outs in eczema, shingles, psoriasis or arthritis.
