According to (1993-2009),”Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect" - Chief Seattle” (para.6). No matter where we come from, those changes we do to one another will be effected in a negative or positive reaction. Those changes as human beings can be to modernize ourselves to better assist our lives in make it easier, efficient, and cultural destruction. United States has been a country that looks highly onto many different cultures as one rather than many different people. People in the United States have better understood technology to either communicate, medical advances, and transportation. While these have become part of people lives on an everyday basis it has seem to take effect on tradition, families, and individualism of those in United States that is so highly looked upon. Even though modernization comes with advances, it has taken an easier path to live because modernization has stripped traditions and indigenous cultures that are not considered indigenous.

When is that last time a family got together to make their own house out of mud, forage for food, or had their kin go through the rite of passage. Indigenous people across the world have been one of the last communities that have been able to hold on to these traditions for thousands of years. Heritage is a way of life for these people who have been able to hold on to what United States one had before the change ever accord. According to (1996-2010), “Indigenous peoples number over 300 million and represent approximately 4% of the world’s population” (para.1). Take for example as those indigenous families who have been able for thousands of years hunt for food in forest, rivers, or seen their land claimed by the advances in technology. As the pollution of industrial companies seek to expand into forest for natural resources to be able to make house’s in urban areas for those families who have been modernized. Struggling to carry on the preservation to their homelands and every way of life is war within other people who they may seem as friends. Because of modernization has become so common with people in the United States there are areas in the world were outsourcing has been quite easy, and in doing so has changed those coming across that path of modernization. The awareness of the safety of those indigenous people across the world a concern and in doing so created a Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. According to International World Group for Indigenous Affairs (2010), “With an overwhelming majority of 143 votes in favor, only 4 negative votes cast (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States) and 11 abstentions, the United Nations General Assembly (GA) adopted the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples on September 13, 2007. The Declaration has been negotiated through more than 20 years between nation-states and Indigenous Peoples” (Declarations on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, para.4). Helping those who are considered indigenous are people are were able to keep their roots, music, arts, and ways most modernized people in United States have tend to left behind.

Culture in United States is in many different forms as seen by other countries around the world. As those cultures in United States interact to help one another to prosper for all the right reasons there are for sure something wrong and right. Modernization has been one of those prospering factors within United States to see how far reaching the sky is and if it is even that far. Take how transpiration has come from walking; riding horse, trains, vehicle, air planes and it will keep on advance as years go on. Who is to say traveling by air will be the new vehicles in the future within the next 20 years or so? It may be possible, but as those types of technology change the faces...
