The Snapple brand is a very successful product that has been around since 1972. Over the last few years the Snapple brand has been going threw a maturing stage as referred to on page 314 of our text, marketing. When a company monitors its product line, and notices when the sales curve peaks, they decide to make changes to the brand. By making small changes to the brand, the Snapple Company can stay competitive in this ever changing high tech market.
One of the changes to the Snapple brand is the labeling and packaging. The original labels had large bold lettering with a sunshine face. The latest modified version has an emphasis on the green and black tea leaves, and also has cleaner lines.
As referred to on page 328 of our text marketing, one of our revisions is to introduce some Aesthetic changes from the marketing team. The team would like to introduce a holiday package for the fall and winter months, and a 4th of July package for the spring and summer months. The holiday package revisions consist of having a small Christmas tree on the label along with changing the color of the word Snapple to green. The 4th of July package consist of adding a small American flag on the label and changing the color of the word Snapple to red. The biggest revision to the packaging is all 4th of July and holiday Snapple will be made out of recyclable plastic.
The distribution of the Snapple brand will be only of the original flavored ice tea, and sold for a limited time only. The holiday brand will be sold for 45 days during the fall and winter months, and the 4th of July brand will be distributed for 45 days during the spring and summer months.
