What in a name?

What is a name (first name, given name)? A name is a word or term used for identification. Names can identify a class or category of things, or a single thing, either uniquely, etc.
A personal name identifies a specific unique and identifiable individual person, and may or may not include a middle name.
The use of personal names is not unique to humans. And now I will tell about it.
When child is born, parents may follow a naming convention when selecting names for their children. Some have choose alphabetical names by birth order. In many cultures it is common for the son to be named after the father or a grandfather. Well, there are a lot of ways how to choose a name for the child.

So, my first name is Almira (Альмира). As I know Almira is tatar name. But according to the internet, meaning of the name Almira also is arab and Spanish name. This name means «unique princess». In arab «мира» means «provisions» and «аль» - is a definite article. Same name Almira meets and in other cultures. So, for example, the name Almira took the 500th place among the most popular names in the USA in 1883.

My first name Almira has given a a friendly, likeable nature and person with this name could excel in artistic, dramatic and musical expression. Almira always has the resolve and vitality to put forth the effort necessary to fulfil her desires. Her emotional feelings are easily affected and she will always be involved in other people’s problems as a result of her overly sympathetic nature. Though the name Almira creates the urge to understand and help people, that it causes an emotional intensity and sensitivity that is hard to control. And I agree with this statement on 80%. I think a name influences to the person’s character. But with this name I desire the finer things in life.

What is a surname (last name, family name)? A surname is a name added to a given name and it is part of a personal name. In many cases, a surname is a family name.
