Natural Health magazine serves as a practical guide to good health and well-being. Each issue includes information on naturally-oriented food and nutrition, alternative health practices, exercise and self-care. The print focuses on the mind/body connection, illustrated exercise, preventative medicine, creating a healthy lifestyle in the home and office, healthy cuisines, and consumer guides to natural products. This magazine is written for individuals who are seeking to develop or maintain a healthy balanced and overall blissful life. The target market for this print is women ranging from late teens-middle age who are health conscious and curious for new information to better live their life.
Natural Health is published bi-monthly by Weider Publications, LLC, a subsidiary of American Media Inc and is sold for $4.99, making it an average price for other prints in its category. American Media publishes various other health and wellness magazine such as Men’s Health, Fit Pregnancy and Shape. Natural Health has been in print since 2001, statistically making it one in three magazines to survive more than five years in the print industry. The September/October 2014 issue of Natural Health features Kourtney Kardashian on the cover with the main headline reading “Amazing 1-Day Cleanse- Detox Your Gut, Stop Stress, Heal Your Body Instantly.” By displaying such a prominent pop culture icon on the cover, it draws the consumer to their magazine. As a reality TV star, Kourtney’s lifestyle and habits are broadcasted to a wide audience. Kourtney is known for having an Ayurvedic diet, effective exercise regimen, and organic lifestyle.
