Analysis for Green River   Maria Parkes   September 12, 2008   MGt322-0804A-03   AIU Online   Introduction   Any type of gathering that has people who interact with each other is considered a group. In a group what one person does could directly affect everyone in the group. In a group each members of the group perceive to have as common goal, group dynamics also have the notion that being in the group they will be able to meet goals and have a since of belonging. (George, Jones, 2008)   Teams would also be considered a formal work group; these types of group interact at a higher level and work together to accomplish certain work related goals. These teams can also utilize the experiences of their team mates. Drawing or utilizing this ability can help groups perform efficiently and professionally.   The second topic is leadership this can be described as the exercise of one member who will influence the group or organization to accomplish goals that have been set. (pg. 391) The leader of the group is the one who will influence the group as a whole. An effective leader will actually help the group to accomplish what need to be done or to meet the deadline that was set. As a leader an example should be set in order for the group to progress, thus not showing any bias or favoritism. (George, Jones, 2008)   Communication plays a vital role in any organization. Communication is the sharing of information with other people as defined by George and Jones. (2008) Communication has a large impact on how people interact with each other. Simply sharing information doesn’t always meet the needs of the group or the organization, the understanding of the information and agreeing on the information that is being given is very vital.
