Overview of the Keyboard
Computer is an electronic machine or device which is available of receiving information(data) in an unread form and of perfoming a sequence of operations in accordance with a predetermined but variable set of procedural instructions (program) to produce a result in the form of information or signals.
Input is a hardware component that allows users to key in or enter data /instruction to a computer.A computer has many types of input devices, for example : keyboard, pointing devices, voice input, digital input, scanners and etc.
Keyboard is a typewriter style device, which uses an arrangement of buttons or keys that lets you to enter data to a computer. Keyboards are available for desktop, laptop computers, PDAs and smart phones. There are around 110 keys on a computer keyboard.
Keyboards was invented ny Christopher Sholes who was born in Mooresbud and he was an Amrican mechanical engineer. He invented the first typewriter in 1866. He invented the typewriter together woth his business partners Samuel Soule and Carlos Glidden.
There are two common types of computer keyboards, QWERTY and AZERTY. QWERTY keyboards are the most common keyboards which we are using nowadays. Pronounced kwer-tee, it’s named by the arrangement on the keyboard which is from the the first six characters on a keyboard. It is the keyboard that have 6 alphabets(Q,W,E,R,T,Y) in the first row. The QWERTY keyboard is invented by Christopher Sholes who is the inventor of the typewriter. AZERTY keyboards that used in French countries. It is keyboard that A, Z, E, R, T, Y at the first row. Its differences with the QWERTY keyboard is the Q and W have been changed to the A and Z.Another differences is on an AZERTY keyboard M key is left to the L key but the QWERTY keyboard it has been reversed.
