Introduction
These days, the issue of economy, especially economic crisis , is increasingly disturbing . It is universally accepted that economy has a profound influence both on individuals and the development of countries all over the world. This report will describe and analyze the main economic problems confronted by the UK in 1945―1980 the second half of the twentieth century. First, it will indicate the background of British economy after undergoing the crucial World War Ⅱ．Secondly, it will illustrate the overall situation of UK economy, Then the report will analyze the four main economic problems focus on the aspects of inflation, housing circumstance, industry, unemployment and industry; therefore a good understanding of past economy during this period can possibly be formed and it is an important reference point for people in my country and in contemporary Britain.
Background
In 1939, the world warⅡ exploded, the whole world economy suffered from this and difficulties in United Kingdom have been far more acute. It is highly probably that economy can be aggravated by the wartime in industrial efficiency, the types of products, capital equipment of industry and underlying influence such as methods of management. There was a rough estimate made by Washington Talks in 1945 claimed that ten percent of the pre-war wealth were destroyed due to the physical destruction and internal disinvestment during the war period.
